Allen “Big Al” Eckman, a southern California native born April 27, 1969, moved to beautiful South Carolina in 1991. Big Al started a career in wildlife management/animal removal and prevention service called A-1 Wildlife Control and has been in business for 18 years. Big Al has built a business in the public eye by removing critters from homes and businesses and protecting those homes and businesses from future invasions by pesky critters. After a while in the business, Big Al warranted the help of a sidekick who could help with some aspects of wildlife management. His sidekick, Hayley, was professionally trained by Big Al to locate, capture, and hold the critters until Big Al could contain them. After two years of training and a field full of technicians, Big Al has since retired from the field and now operates A-1 Wildlife Control from an administrative role. Over the course of three years, lots of love, treats “cookies”, and extensive training, Big Al has taught Hayley to wear motorcycle apparel and to keep it on while posing for pictures as well as to ride on the fuel tank of his Harley Davidson Wideglide.
As the popularity of seeing the dog that rides on the tank grows, Big Al and Hayley was then honored with the gift of becomming the mascots of a hot local biker magazine, and a Harley-Davidson dealership. To say thanks, Big Al and Hayley solicited the help of "Superman" Rob Sistar of Sistar Productions to create a small thank you DVD at the 2008 Easyriders Bike Tour for those that saw the potential in Big Al and Hayley. During the Easyriders show, Big Al and Hayley were spotted by the tour host of Easyriders, Bruce Henderson, and in awe he decided to invite Big Al and Hayley on stage. As Big Al and Hayley demonstrated biker dog tricks, and Al's overflowing, outgoing and over the top personality took over the Show, a local TV Producer noticed that Big Al had gained the attention of the entire audience. The producer approached Big Al saying, "We've been looking for a host like you," thus creating the beginning of a TV hosting carreer for Big Al and Hayley. The name of the local bike show out of Spartanburg, South Carolina was called Carolina Cruiser. But, during the Easyriders event, Big Al had a vision of his own TV show, FUEL Inc. After a year of hosting Carolina Cruiser for the CW Network, Big Al and Hayley left the show to get FUEL Inc. on the air in Charlotte since he had been working on the project since the Easyriders Show. And thus you have the hottest new bike/ hot rod show in the south, "FUEL Inc." By the way, if you would like to see that 4 minute DVD that started it all go to www.youtube.com and type in Big Al and Hayley.
